The realities of eCommerce, like incorporation services, mail forwarding and virtual offices have made it significantly harder to ensure the correctness of even the most basic client information, for example a merchant’s principal place of business. This has not been considered a big problem in the past, but now the major credit card associations are taking actions – and explicitly require more detailed location information.
To help acquirers/IPSPs to weather this sea change, we have created eLoc. It uses open source information to ascertain a merchant’s location. This will ensure that acquirers/IPSPs can make their portfolio compliant with VISA’s global rule changes.
