Carsten Baeck is working as data protection officer at Web Shield Services GmbH since the 1st of January 2015. Mr. Baeck has been qualified as an external data protection officer in line with the (German) Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). From now on he will be supervising the compliance with the legal requirements regarding data protection at Web Shield Services GmbH. His tasks include the securing of compliance in accordance with the (German) Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and every operationally relevant laws regarding data protection.

KYC Shield enables the customer to legitimate himself or to verify his age within around three minutes – without being restricted by the business hours of the local post or bank office branch. The legitimation process is carried out by especially trained and trustworthy staff under the highest levels of security and confidentiality. Therefore, KYC Shield is a safe and fast solution for live legitimation. In addition, KYC Shield has been assessed positively by the (German) Commission for the Protection of Minors in the Media (KJM) as a solution to age verification (AVS sub-module) since December 2014. With the appointment of an external data protection officer, Web Shield Services GmbH takes additional precautionary measures which ensure an even safer dealing with personal data both for clients and customers.
